MY JOURNEY INTO SKINCARE

Have you tried countless products and home remedies but have not seen a difference in your skin? When you look in the mirror, do you long to see the vibrant complexion you once had looking back at you?

Hi! I'm Kendria Morgan, and I know exactly what you're going through because I have been there too! I am a licensed Esthetician in the Bronx, New York. I specialize in corrective skincare treatments for acne and hyperpigmentation to give you the best skin possible.

During my teen years, I had perfectly healthy skin, even into my twenties. I had no special  skincare routine and like many others, I only cleansed my face with bar soaps and rarely ever used a moisturizer. Back then, skincare products were like luxury items. Come to think of it, it doesn't  seem as if it was needed as I never had any real problems.

Fast forward to my early thirties when my skin started acting differently. It became very dry and flaky  with dark patches on my cheeks and around my temples and jawline. I tried many household remedies  but no matter what I used they never solved my problems.

At the time, I had taken up soap making and lotion making as a hobby. I would share these products  with family and friends. As knowledge of my soap making became known to people, I would often get  questions about skin conditions that I knew nothing about. This together with the need to solve my own  skincare problems piqued my interest in skincare. As such, I enrolled in the renowned Christine Valmy International School for Esthetics in New York City where I studied the function and physiology of  the skin. This led me into further research about Cosmetic Chemistry.

Through my research I discovered the root cause of my problems and was able to correct all my issues and, my youthful complexion returned.

The simple fact is that the skin has a natural cycle of renewing and replacing skin cells. During this  process, the cells on the surface of the skin exfoliate themselves and new cells replace them. During our  younger years, this process takes approximately twenty-eight days. Unfortunately as the body matures  this process slows down significantly and as a result, the dead skin cells stay on the surface of the skin  causing it to look dry, flaky and dull.

I’ve discovered that the root cause is that we were not taught how to take care of our skin and it's not until the problem becomes  exacerbated that we try to do something about it. And unfortunately, quite often, we choose the wrong options for our skincare needs.

This is the reason that I am so passionate about teaching proper skincare practices. Providing safe and effective skincare products is also part of my mission. I want to help people solve their skin problems and maintain beautiful results.

When I began working as a Licensed Esthetician, I noticed that many of my clients, especially women in  their early thirties to fifties and above suffered from the same issues that I was experiencing.

My passion and mission is to educate my customers on effective skincare practices and provide them with products that not only correct the problems they are experiencing, but also prevent them in the future, to maintain healthy, beautiful, glowing skin.
